Storage Tank Removal Excavation Replacement Rosedale MD Baltimore County

Where: Rossville, Maryland 21237 - Baltimore County

Overview:
Removal of four underground storage tanks (USTs) and replace with two double-walled fiberglass USTs.

The collected liquids/sludge and proper PPE/cleaning supplies were hauled off-site as non-hazardous waste a facility for proper disposal. There were no obvious perforations observed in the tanks during removal, however impacted soils were present. During excavation, a total of 12 post-excavation soil samples were collected from the bottom of the excavation. An additional three post-excavation soil samples were collected from the three multi-sided dispensers. Impacted soils were excavated and stored on plastic and covered with plastic pending facility approval. Approximately 279.76 tons of impacted soils were removed to Soil Safe of Upper Marlboro.
